Came to me recently that it's been a long time since I cared about cafés so it was with great joy that we found Apartment Coffee through good friend Medhā. You'll want her to take you through her version of Singapore even if you're not a tourist.
Apartment is cosy early, probably even more so on a weekday. To some it's stark, but perhaps the intent was to fill it with the warmth of people, which I tried in reaching out to share our table with a mother and son, so hopefully that's some points toward The Good Place.
Coffee's not really my, well, cup of tea, but I have always enjoyed a fruity beverage because of extremely secure masculinity, so of course the barista recommended that I have the Kenya Gichathaini lot 49. It was good.
The lady had the Colombian Dorian Filipe. Not sure how I managed but the grapefruit lingered on my lips. Odd. Never knew how to tell tastes apart, so that was refreshing.
Also if you're into ceramics like I am, you might find their cups very pleasant in the hands.
But first, always a selfie.
Got reacquainted with the word here. It means "just the right amount".
That's what I thought when I saw her in that space. Probably should crop this photo square though.
Nah, I'm good.
I thought Qing He was familiar when I first approached him for this photo. Turns out he's the same barista who was at Common Man Coffee Roasters, and who also co-owns the perpetually crowded The Glasshouse.
Really should've spoken more with him, and with Nicole as well, but the other daily grind I deal with probably got me all spent.
And as with most cool people in Singapore, of course Medhā knew him before this.
I did have on a super comfy pair of amazing Clarks sneakers that everyone earning a decent pay check should own though. #ComfortInYourSoul #notsponsored #freeshoesfeelevenbetterthanpaidshoestho #callme

And have you seen that dress?
We're two days early but she's always younger a second ago, so fight me.

I just realised why I really stopped caring as much about cafés, sneakers, some people - probably you - and even cameras.
Because I'm always with her now.
